Where Does Lisa Vanderpump Stand with Former VPR Cast Ahead of Reboot? “Time to Move On”
Lisa Vanderpump left no stone unturned as far as the former Vanderpump Rules cast goes in the season finale of Bravo’s Hot Mic Podcast.
As seen in a preview for the upcoming Hot Mic episode, premiering Tuesday, April 1 at 12/11c, the show’s matriarch sat with Bravo producer Alex Baskin to discuss the show’s wildly successful 11-season run and what’s in store for the reboot, which was announced in November 2024.
A brand new cast — which has yet to be revealed — will bring the drama to Lisa’s SUR Restaurant and Lounge in West Hollywood. But where does she stand with the old gang now?
“I still have a great relationship with some of them,” the businesswoman admitted. “But the others, their attitude changed, and it wasn’t what we set out to be, so I think it was time to move on.”
Is Lisa Vanderpump still friends with the Vanderpump Rules cast?
Season 11 ended with a cast that graduated from bar tabs and goat cheese balls to find great success outside Lisa’s remarkably popular restaurant. Tom Sandoval vied for a cash prize in Peacock’s The Traitors, for example, and Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney finally opened Something About Her.
When asked by Alex who she had a good relationship with still, Lisa was quick to say Tom Schwartz.
“I have a great relationship with Schwartz,” Lisa said. “I think he’s truly a lovely, kind person, and it actually hurt me to see him kind of get a beating around the whole Scandoval time.”
Lisa was referring to the explosive Season 10 debacle of Tom Sandoval cheating on Ariana. Though Lisa wished Tom Schwartz would have stood up to his best friend and business partner, Sandoval, a little more, she said that was just the kind of guy Tom Schwartz is.
“He tries to make everybody happy,” Lisa told Hot Mic. “He’s just always been [a] very kind, loveable, thoughtful person.”
Lisa also revealed that she remains close to mother-of-two Lala Kent. The relationship Lisa had with Lala, she said, was akin to what she had with former SURver Stassi Schroeder.
“I love Lala,” Lisa continued.
Lisa said she was able to stop both women in their tracks when they became emotional in the early years of the show. The boss’s pep talks were essential since being on a reality television series could be “truly overwhelming.”
“I’m proud of her,” Lisa said of Lala. “I think she’s a lovely mummy, and yeah, I think she’s going to be very successful.”

When is Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules?
Hot Mic host Alex Baskin will once again serve as as executive producer as Vanderpump Rules continues into its 12th season.
According to the show’s description, servers at both SUR and TomTom will create an atmosphere “rife with plenty of drama, situationships, and frenemies.”
“What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again,” Baskin previously told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together.”
A premiere date has yet to be announced.
Don’t miss how the VPR shakeup has affected Sandoval and his current girlfriend.
