After closing the spot he co-owned with Tom Schwartz, Schwartz & Sandy’s, at the end of 2024, Tom Sandoval, would have a reason to be a bit jaded about the bar business — however, the Vanderpump Rules cast member is optimistic about Brittany Carwright’s forthcoming spot, Britt’s WeHo.
On the March 5 episode of the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Tom revealed his surprising take on Brittany’s new business venture.
“I think it could do very well,” he said, which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post. “I think that when opening a bar, you have to be there, you have to hire promoters, you have to do a lot of work, and I think time will tell.”
Tom also shared some insight into how Brittany’s estranged husband, Jax Taylor, felt about her opening up a competitor to his own bar, Jax’s Studio City.
“It’s the same business partners, so he’s in support of it,” The Traitors alum shared about his best friend.

After helping Jax and his business partners open Jax’s Studio City in 2023, Brittany feels more than ready to take on a bar of her own.
She confirmed that she had teamed up with Jax’s partners for a spot in West Hollywood back in November 2024.
“You all know we started the bar-restaurant business, and we started off with Jax’s [Studio City],” she said on an episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits With Jax & Brittany. “A lot has changed since we started that. I did a lot to help that place. I put Mamaw’s Beer Cheese on the menu, I did all the flowers, I helped decorate, I showed up when Jax couldn’t be there, I tried my hardest to keep everything going. I love the partners that we have there and they recently came to me and … Britt’s is coming to WeHo!”
When is Brittany Cartwright’s bar, Britt’s WeHo, opening?
In February 2025, Brittany said that her bar would be opening in late March. However, she has yet to share a more recent update on timing.
“Yes, I am still opening my restaurant. I’m so excited. Britt’s WeHo will be opening soon, hoping like late March-ish,” she explained on the February 7 episode of her podcast. “I know we said October, but it’s just taking a little bit longer to get off the ground because we go in and we’re trying to redo everything.”
