Prince William and Princess Kate have been sent thousands of well-wishes on social media after posting a New Years message yesterday.

The future King and Queen took to their social media account on Tuesday to share some of their favourite photos from 2024, which included family snaps from Princess Kate’s sensational video released in September to mark the end of her cancer journey.

Prince William, 42, and Princess Kate, 42, captioned the post: “Happy New Year! Wishing you all a wonderful 2025.”

In less than 24 hours, the couple have received thousands of well wishes in response to the post as royal fans flocked to wish them a happier new year than the one before, which saw Kate undergo cancer treatment.

William had previously spoken about how 2024 had been a “brutal” year for the family as a result of Kate and the King’s cancer diagnosis, revealing how it had been one of his hardest years yet.

However, as the couple and their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, now focus on the year ahead, it seems that royal fans from across the globe – including music legend Paloma Faith – are right behind them with their support.

Paloma, who sang last month at the Princess of Wales’ Christmas carol service, commented on the family’s latest Instagram post: “Happy new year lovelies xxx.”

Another fan of the couple commented: “Wishing you a very happy healthy, happy and brilliant New Year. 2024 was a tough year but you stayed strong and I hope 2025 will be very positive for you. Wishing you all the best and I can’t wait to see you in 2025.”

A third wrote: “Happy new year for your beautiful family. You are an inspiration to all of us. Praying for you to have a 2025 full of love, joy and HEALTH.”

Another said: “The Happiest of New Years to you all. Such a difficult year for you all, but you have got through it together. And together you will get through anything that lies ahead. The nation is behind you all the way.”

The family have currently been spending the last few weeks at their Amner Hall home in Norfolk for the festive season.

While they spent plenty of time just the five of them, the family did attend the King’s Christmas Day celebrations at Sandringham with the rest of the Royal Family, which involved the annual Christmas Day church service and walkabout.

The walkabout saw the family in good spirits as they chatted to members of the public, with the royal children receiving armfuls of gifts.
