Princess Catherine Plans A Heartbreaking Tribute On Christmas Day After Queen Camilla’s Invitation

The British royal family is no stranger to headlines, but the recent announcement from Kensington Palace about Princess Katherine’s health left fans and Royal Watchers across the world in shock. After a longtime break from public engagements, she returned to the spotlight with her usual grace. Now, she and her husband William have reportedly departed Windsor with their children, marking the beginning of their Christmas celebrations.

Their departure follows a security situation involving Prince Andrew, which has sparked new concerns. In a groundbreaking move for the royal family, the Princess of Wales is tipped to reach out to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle this Christmas, according to a formal royal staffer. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, has been invited to join the Christmas celebrations at Sandringham, marking a major shift in royal tradition.

The absence of King Charles’s own second son has raised eyebrows among experts, making this holiday season even more notable. Although some sources have claimed that Harry and Meghan were not invited to Sandringham this year, the couple is expected to spend their holidays in Montecito, California, where they reside. These reports, however, have not been confirmed.

Grant Harrold, King Charles’s former butler from 2001 to 2011, suggested that Princess Katherine should reach out to the estranged Montecito couple, possibly even with a FaceTime call over the Christmas period.

Tom Parker Bowles, a food critic and author, shared that his mother personally invited him to the festivities, and he and his family are making arrangements to attend. To have the king’s stepson at Sandringham but not his own son is certainly a notable moment, emphasizing the weight of Harry’s absence. This year will likely be even more special for Harry and Meghan as their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are old enough to know about the holiday.

Elsewhere, King Charles’s office issued a fresh statement after the monarch made surprising changes to the annual pre-Christmas lunch. The palace announced that the Royal Family’s annual pre-Christmas lunch will take place at Buckingham Palace instead of Windsor Castle.

The thing about Christmas is that it’s all about goodwill to others, letting bygones be bygones, forgetting about the past, and moving on to the new year. If there’s any time when the families are going to communicate or touch base, it’s going to be over Christmas. There’s something magical about Christmas that brings families back together.

This Tuesday, December 10th, Prince William showed his most affectionate and familiar side at a meeting in Wiltshire to pay tribute to the first battalion of the Mercian Regiment. He went around the ten tables in the mess hall, chatting with soldiers, their wives, and their children. He even likened the situation to a speed-dating evening.

The conversation flowed, and curious as always, the kids asked him about Christmas plans. The prince revealed that he’s excited to celebrate the holidays with his family in Norfolk, following tradition. He commented that this year they will gather nearly half a hundred members of the Windsor family, including his father, King Charles III. Although he mentioned sharing Christmas lunch with 45 family members at Sandringham, he avoided getting into details about the possible presence of the Sussexes, who have distanced themselves from the royal family after moving to the United States.

His sense of humor made the experience more enjoyable. William was especially attentive to the children, with whom he played and joked. Some of the little ones gave him a cute Santa Claus hat and a drawing. When he saw it, he couldn’t help but make a joke, wondering if he really had five nostrils because of the size of the nose in the illustration.

There was no shortage of festive spirit as Prince William helped hand out gifts to children under the Christmas tree before enjoying a vibrant performance by the Fijian Choir, made up of soldiers from the Mercian Regiment.
