Orla’s Special Bedtime Role
During a visit to Duchy College in Cornwall, William was seen petting a well-wisher’s dog when he revealed something adorable—Orla often joins him and Kate in bed at night!
Louise Harland, the owner of the dog William was admiring, shared that the prince was completely smitten with her pet—a Cocker Jack, a unique mix of breeds. As they chatted, William admitted that he had never met a dog like hers before, but then quickly turned the conversation to Orla, gushing about how she’s very much a part of their nightly routine.
Orla: Filling Lupo’s Paw Prints
Orla isn’t the Wales family’s first beloved pet. Their previous dog, Lupo, was a cherished wedding gift from Kate’s brother, James Middleton. Sadly, Lupo passed away in November 2020, leaving the family heartbroken. However, Orla has since filled that void, bringing joy and love back into their home.

William joked that he often ends up cleaning the guinea pig cage because his kids tend to forget! He also shared that their guinea pigs are always on the run, saying they’re much more energetic than the calm ones he met at the farm.
