Prince William, Kate Middleton ‘secretly’ met Harry, Meghan’s daughter Lilibet?

A royal expert has suggested that Prince William and Princess Katherine might have privately met Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter, Princess Lilibet.

The claim comes from royal correspondent Danielle Stacy, who explained that there has been no official confirmation regarding whether the Prince and Princess of Wales or their children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—have ever met the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s youngest child. This has left many wondering whether the two sides of the family have had the opportunity to connect despite the physical distance between them.

Princess Lilibet was born in California in June 2021 after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to the United States following their decision to step back from royal duties in 2020. Since her birth, Lilibet has only made one visit to the UK, which occurred in June 2022.

The visit was a significant moment as it coincided with Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, marking Lilibet’s first official appearance in the UK and giving her an opportunity to be part of the royal family’s celebration. During that visit, Princess Lilibet’s first birthday was celebrated with a small party at Frogmore Cottage, the Sussexes’ residence in the UK.

However, reports indicated that the Wales children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—were unable to attend the event due to their involvement in a royal engagement in Cardiff. The absence of the Wales children at the party raised questions about whether the cousins had any opportunity to meet during Lilibet’s brief visit.

Although it remains unclear if the cousins ever had the chance to meet, royal expert Danielle Stacy hinted that a private gathering might have taken place behind the scenes. According to Stacy, there is the possibility that the Wales family could have spent some time with their niece, Princess Lilibet, during her first UK visit. However, she noted that Prince Harry only revealed limited details about his children’s interactions with family members in his memoir Spare, where he focused on their reunion with their grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Despite this speculation, it was previously confirmed by Princess Katherine herself that she had not yet met Princess Lilibet as of 2021. During a visit to Cornwall with Jill Biden, Katherine mentioned that she had not had the opportunity to meet her niece at that time—a statement that fueled curiosity about whether the two families have since had the chance to connect.

The distance between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, both physically and emotionally, has been a topic of much discussion, especially in the wake of Harry and Meghan’s decision to move to the United States. As the royal family continues to navigate the evolving dynamics within its ranks, the possibility of future meetings and reunions remains a point of interest for both royal observers and the public.

While there may be no official confirmation of a meeting between the Wales family and Princess Lilibet, the potential for such a private moment remains open. As time goes on, the world will undoubtedly keep watching for any signs of a deeper family reunion or connection between the royal cousins.
