Prince Louis Assumed PIVOTAL ROLE At Christmas After Palace Issues Catherine’s 1st Update
Christmas is fast approaching; the streets are aglow with lights, mint spice is on the menu, and Advent calendars are jostling for attention in shop windows as the countdown looms. Princess Katherine of Wales teased festivities for her upcoming Christmas Carol service, just hours after announcing the date for the festive soirée. Having announced in September that she had completed her course of chemotherapy, the Princess is keen to ease herself back into royal duties over the coming month.
In another surprise, Prince Louis may make a public appearance next month alongside his brother, sister, and the wider royal family. This appearance will be a delight for royal watchers who have come to cherish the brief glimpses of his personality and unique bond with his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
In the latest announcement from Kensington Palace, Princess Katherine will host her annual Christmas Carol concert next month with a theme focused on how much we need each other during difficult times. She has been keen to ensure that the event forms part of her gradual return to royal duties, having held a planning meeting about the service in September. Katherine particularly wanted the service themes to celebrate those who support others in need, with a focus on the importance of love and empathy.
This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy and how much we need each other, especially during the most challenging times of our lives. While TV screens are filled with retailers’ festive ads, one seasonal promo from Lidl has left viewers baffled, with many claiming it features a young actress with a striking resemblance to Princess Charlotte.
The supermarket’s ad follows the story of a young girl named Emma, who helps an elderly lady with her groceries after she drops them on the street. The young Princess Charlotte lookalike then gives one of her presents—a warm beanie hat—to a young boy who she notices is too cold to join in with other children playing in the snow. Viewers have been stunned by the young girl’s resemblance to the nine-year-old daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“Is Princess Charlotte in the advert? Doesn’t the girl look like the lovely Princess Charlotte, and of course, our late Queen Elizabeth II, too?” viewers asked. The young actress has reportedly said it’s nice to be compared to the Princess, “because she’s very pretty, and she is a princess.”
In a new video shared by William and Katherine on their official social media channels on Wednesday morning, invitations for the concert can be seen being produced with the Princess’s royal seal. The couple wrote, “Something exciting is coming.” Royal fans went wild after the short video was posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s official social media accounts. Several fans thanked the Princess for bringing back her Christmas Carol concert, while others shared their excitement for the key royal event.
One user expressed, “So excited! It’s my favorite royal event of the year. You always set the right tone for us at Christmas. Thank you, Katherine and her wonderful staff, for bringing us together again.” Another chimed in, “Extremely excited, because this year everything will be special for us—and for you. I’m sure it will be a beautiful evening as always.”
This will be the fourth time Katherine has staged her Christmas Carol service, supported by the Royal Foundation. Members of the royal family will gather with the Princess as some 1,600 people fill the Abbey in London to see musical performances by stars, including Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean, and Gregory Porter. Among the invited guests will be those who have supported others, whether on a personal level with friends and family, or through their work or volunteering.
In recent days, as Katherine carried out royal engagements with her family, her message of love and empathy was plain to see, as they supported each other. While the King’s wife stayed home with a chest infection, she was joined by his sister, Princess Anne, throughout the Royal Albert Hall event the next day. On Remembrance Sunday, Katherine stood alongside Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, to watch the two Kings lay a wreath at the Cenotaph. Sophie also put a protective arm around the younger mother of two.
