Palace Staff FINALLY Speaks Out On William and Catherine’s Marriage Crisis: ‘It’s not Perfect’

In shocking news, an explosive book lays out new claims about the private Royal couple’s relationship behind closed doors. Many Royal fans have been hoping to see The Prince and Princess of Wales at the star-studded event on February 16th. However, the couple seems to be missing the most awaited 2025 BAFTAs for a major personal reason.

Recently, Royal author Tom Quinn announced the launch of his new book, which apparently contains some groundbreaking Royal revelations. Among them, it is claimed that the marriage of William and Catherine sometimes bears more resemblance to a parent-child relationship than a romance.

Palace staff have claimed that the Princess of Wales is skilled at calming Prince William down behind closed doors, as he is prone to tantrums. And that’s not the cause—it’s the solution. Numerous Royal staff who have worked closely with the Wales family over the years have revealed their private dynamic to author Tom Quinn.

As a source revealed in a printed excerpt from the book, Royal family protocol involves several relatively high-maintenance requisites, including, but not limited to, a bath that must be run at precisely the same time each day. Apparently, William—the eldest son of King Charles III and next in line for the British throne—takes after his father when it comes to tantrums. If the bath is behind schedule or the shoes aren’t polished correctly, he gets frustrated.

In those moments, it’s Catherine who knows how to handle the situation. As a result, the princess often finds herself stepping in and treating William like a fourth child to calm him down. An insider added, “I don’t know where William would be without Catherine. She hasn’t had everything done for her throughout her life, so she calms him down when he gets a bit fractious.”

The insider continued, “She sometimes has to treat him as her fourth child. My heart goes out to everyone involved here. Imagine growing up the way Prince William did—so pampered to the point of such peculiar emotional stunting that he apparently can’t keep his anger in check in the absence of a pressed suit, shiny shoes, or a specific bath time. His wife seemingly feels obliged to manage his emotions as though he’s not a fully grown adult who should be more than capable of having mature responses to such minor inconveniences.”

Additionally, it’s probably not an ideal situation for George, Charlotte, and Louis to grow up watching their parents adopt even an occasional parent-child dynamic. A former Kensington Palace maid reportedly told Quinn that she had to explain many things that parents outside the Royal Family do with their children as a matter of course. For example, she had to show William how to give his children a piggyback ride. The ex-employee explained, “William said very quietly, ‘My father never gave me a piggyback.’”

While he may come across as formal, as claimed by his brother and sister-in-law, Catherine inevitably sees another side of him more than anyone else. She enjoys teasing him about his lineage, insisting that as he gets older, William looks more like his great-great-great-grandfather Edward VII. She also likes joking about the fact that his stepmother, Camilla, is descended from Edward II’s favorite mistress.

But, in the end, their family drama is their business. Even if our instinct is to judge them for allowing such a dynamic to enter their marriage—especially as public figures expected to model good behavior—it only becomes a problem if we let it be. If Catherine isn’t okay with it, she can tell him to smarten up or even divorce him. But if she decides to keep dealing with his tantrums this way, the world will keep turning, even with that added layer of dejected complacency that the princess may or may not be harboring.

One of William’s advisers once told Quinn that before Catherine had learned the proper Royal fashion protocols, she had made some fashion mistakes. The prince, finding it inappropriate, joked that she looked as if she had just run through a charity shop in superglue.
