LaLa Kent Admits She Wants To See “Meltdowns” With New VPR Cast After OG’s Get Fired Ahead Of Season 12
Fans finally know what will happen to Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules after a very, very long hiatus following Season 11. In November, it was announced that the upcoming season would be rebooted and feature an entirely new cast working at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant. None of the OG cast would take part in it.
Thankfully, most of the original cast have other jobs to fall back on, but it was very sad news to say the least. OG cast members like Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix, Lala Kent, and Tom Schwartz all shared heartfelt Instagram posts about saying goodbye to the end of an era.
But will these old VPR stars watch the newbies in the Season 12 reboot?
Lala Kent Is Hoping To See The New Cast Of Vanderpump Rules Dish Out Some Major Drama
The announcement that Vanderpump Rules would be rebooted with a brand-new cast really bummed out a lot of fans. However, it might have been inevitable following a very dramatic Season 11 ending in which viewers watched friends divided after Tom Sandoval’s affair. In addition, Ariana Madix refusing to film with her ex upset several of her castmates.
For Lala Kent, who has been with the VPR crew since Season 4, it’s the start of a new chapter in her life. Speaking on Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast in November, the reality TV star admitted that she was totally down to watch the Season 12 reboot, but hopes the new cast will bring just as much drama as her OG castmates.
“I feel like we’ve graduated. It’s just not the same. Nothing lasts forever, and I’m really excited to see this group of new young [people] just excited about life,” Lala revealed.
There is no news yet about who will be starring in the Season 12 reboot. However, Lala also shared that she hoped the new cast would “f*** each other” and have “f****** meltdowns,” just like the original series. But, she still thinks that the new group “will have really big shoes to fill.”
Again, Lala shared that she wasn’t hurt by Bravo when she and the rest of the OG’s got fired from their reality TV jobs. “I know what this show did for me and my life, and it completely changed it. I’m so excited to see another group of people.”
Scheana Shay And Lala “Knew” VPR Was Coming To An End For Them
On Scheana’s podcast, she shared that she “knew” her run on Vanderpump Rules was coming to an end, adding that she had been “waiting for that moment.”
“I felt at peace with it. I feel like if it was last year or the year before that, I think maybe I wouldn’t have been in the same place in my life. I don’t know it’s mixed feelings,” Scheana expressed.
Lala shared the same feelings, adding that she “knew this was coming for a while.” In addition, she shared that the end of Season 11 “felt very final to me,” despite Season 11 ending on a very dramatic note.
“There was nothing left to say, the story was done. There is no more story to tell with this group of people.”
However, a report from Us Weekly stated that the original cast had no idea about the “extent of a reboot.” In fact, the report stated that the original cast learned they wouldn’t be returning to VPR “on Monday” and Bravo made the official announcement of a total reboot the very next day. That’s certainly a lot to unpack for OG’s like both Toms, Scheana, and Katie Maloney.
Lala And Scheana Are Returning To VPR’s Spin-Off The Valley
Both Lala and Scheana will be back on our television screens after it was announced that they would be a part of Season 2’s The Valley. First airing in March, the show is a spin-off to VPR and features OG’s like former married couple Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute moving away from the partying lifestyle while living in the San Fernando Valley. Tom Schwartz is also said to be joining the women for the second season.
A source for Us Weekly shared that it was “natural for Lala to be around everyone [on The Valley]. She’s naturally around them all the time.”
That makes sense as Lala is a mother of two daughters, Ocean and Sosa. Scheana is also a mom to her daughter Summer Moon, with whom she shares with her husband, Brock Davies. The women are regularly seen hanging out with Brittany and her son, Cruz, who she shares with Jax.
Season 2 will most likely follow the storyline of Brittany and Jax’s messy divorce and fans could definitely see Lala and Scheana being major support systems for her.
Although it’s not known if Lala and Scheana are main cast members, it will be nice to see more familiar faces in The Valley.
