Katie Maloney Reveals the Surprising Status of Witches of WeHo Wine: “When We Started This…”
Katie Maloney currently co-owns the sandwich shop, Something About Her. But before the Vanderpump Rules alum was slinging sandwiches, she was pouring up wine with line, Witches of WeHo, that she collaborated with alongside The Valley‘s Kristen Doute as well as VPR alum, Stassi Schroeder.
Katie appeared on her ex-husband Tom Schwartz’s new podcast, Detox Retox with Tom Schwartz, where she shared an update on the wine collaboration with Nocking Point Wines, which originally launched in early 2019. During the episode, Tom pulled out a bottle of the Witches of WeHo’s Potion No. 3 red blend. “Where did you get that?” Katie asked her ex before describing the wine to him. “This is Potion No. 3, this is the red wine, the red blend that we did. I like all those things on the back. It says, ‘Hints of ripe red fruits and spice, a luscious blend to chill on ice.'”
Katie admitted she “believes” the wine is still for sale. “So Kristen, Stassi, and I, when we started this, it was like a collab kind of thing,” she explained. “Nocking Point does collabs with celebrities and athletes and all different people, where they’ll do just kind of a one-off. We wanted to do more than one. We wanted to do as many as possible.”
Nocking Point still sells three different wines by Witches of WeHo. There is a Potion No. 1, which is a Pinot Grigio; Potion No. 2, which is a rosé; and Potion No. 3, the red blend.
Although the trio of friends had their ups and downs after the wine launched in 2019, Kristen last talked about Witches of WeHo during a January 2020 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “The wine is still available,” Kristen said. “Katie and I are working very hard on it.”

Although they are not currently working on the wine together, Kristen and Katie do still keep in touch. Kristen appeared on Bravo’s Hot Mic Podcast in January, where she opened up about their friendship today. Although they are not as close as they once were, Kristen told the show’s host, Alex Baskin, they do still find ways to reach out to each other.
“Katie Maloney, I’m still close to. Are we best friends the way that we were? No,” Kristen said. “We are in very different places in our lives. It’s kind of the same thing. I’m closer with Katie, but it’s OK for people to just grow apart without there being some big dramatic breakup, strangely enough.”
