Fans Get Important ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 12 Filming Update

“Vanderpump Rules” might be back on our screens soon.

TMZ reports that Season 12 of “Vanderpump Rules” will begin filming in early April. The reboot will feature 14 cast members, some of which will be full-time while others will just be friends. TMZ further added that the new cast members finalized their contracts in the first week of March.

It was first reported by TMZ on November 26 that the entire show was going to be rebooted with a new cast, but of course, Lisa Vanderpump would return.

Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, and James Kennedy will not be returning. However, some of them could make appearances on Bravo’s show, “The Valley,” which features some of the original “Vanderpump Rules” cast members, including Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute.

While appearing on Season 1, Episode 4 of Bravo Bravo F’ing Bravo with Kate Chastain, “Vanderpump Rules” producer Alex Baskin was asked about the show’s reboot and what fans can expect.

“It’s getting back to sort of the foundational principles of the show,” Baskin explained. “It’s a group of people who really work at the restaurant and are besties, live together, going through a really fun phase of their life together.”

The show began by following the staff at Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant, Sur, getting an insider glimpse into their personal lives, centering on all the interpersonal drama. However, as the show continued, the cast members moved past their jobs at the restaurant, so the show became more about their personal lives.

Now, it seems it will be similar to when the show first premiered back in 2013.

“And things continue to happen, so we keep thinking there are epilogues to this season at this point,” he continued. “We have to be done at some point. The show has to air!”

Bravo released the official trailer for the show and announced that season 2 will premiere on April 15.

“Vanderpump Rules” alums Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, Scheana Shay, and her husband Brock Davies all make appearances throughout the season.

Along with Taylor, Cartwright, and Doute, “The Valley” cast also includes Danny & Nia Booko, Luke Broderick, Jason & Janet Caperna, Jasmine Goode, Jesse Lally, Michelle Saniei, and Zack Wickham.
