Catherine and William SPOTTED BRINGING 3 Children To Easter Church Outing In Norfolk!!

A Quiet Easter at Anmer Hall: The Wales Family Steps Away from Tradition to Focus on Healing and Togetherness

In a heartfelt departure from royal tradition, Princess Catherine and Prince William are expected to forgo the Easter church service at St. George’s Chapel this year, opting instead for a quiet holiday at their beloved country home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

This marks the second consecutive year the Wales family has missed the Easter gathering, a decision influenced by Catherine’s recent cancer diagnosis. According to a close family source, the couple chose to spend the holiday focused entirely on their young family, retreating to the tranquility of their countryside sanctuary.

The family of five—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—were seen leaving Adelaide Cottage by helicopter, reportedly en route to Anmer Hall, nestled within the Sandringham Estate. “They just wanted to go away for Easter,” the source shared. “Spend time together, the five of them, away from the world, and move on.”

With the children on Easter break from Lambrook School, the timing is ideal for an extended family escape. King Charles is also expected to spend the holiday at Sandringham, offering a chance for intimate family moments in the privacy the estate affords—where locals are used to their royal neighbors and leave them be.

At Anmer Hall, the Wales family is known to embrace the outdoors, often spotted cycling, walking, and enjoying nature. Catherine, who has always leaned into her creative side, looks forward to engaging the children in festive Easter traditions—crafting bonnets, painting eggs, baking, and hosting an Easter egg hunt.

As Prince William fondly remarked during a recent youth club visit, “My wife is the arty one.” Their shared love for nature and creativity was beautifully captured in a candid video released for their 10th wedding anniversary: the couple climbing sand dunes, roasting marshmallows, and playing in the garden with their children—offering a rare, joyful glimpse into their lives at Anmer Hall.

In recent weeks, William and Catherine have scaled back royal engagements to prioritize time with their children. The balance between duty and personal life has never been more poignant. “Their priority will always be each other and these three lovely kids,” said a source close to the family. “They just deserve the best—and all the privacy they need.”

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will return to school on April 17, after which Prince William is expected to resume his carefully managed work schedule—balancing public duties with being present for his wife and children.

King Charles, who himself is navigating a cancer diagnosis, has publicly expressed deep pride in Catherine, praising her courage in speaking out. He is said to share a close and meaningful bond with his daughter-in-law, especially following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Though the Wales family was notably absent, other senior royals, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of York, gathered for the traditional Easter service. The crowd was notably smaller, and the absence of the Prince and Princess of Wales underscored the ongoing challenges facing the royal family.

Yet the event carried a message of resilience. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, opened his Easter sermon with heartfelt words for the King and Princess of Wales:

“In each of our lives, there are moments which change us forever. Sometimes it’s individual. We have watched, sympathized with, and felt alongside the dignity of the King and the Princess of Wales as they have talked of their cancer—and in doing so, by their lack of selfishness, by their grace and their faith, they have boosted so many others.”

Easter may look different this year, but the love, strength, and unity within the royal family remain firmly in place—even, and especially, in quieter moments away from the spotlight.
