Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor came together for a very special day.
More than a year after confirming their marital split, The Valley parents reunited to celebrate their son Cruz Michael Cauchi’s 4th birthday. The estranged couple documented the festivities on Instagram, posting photos and videos of their little boy’s outer space-themed backyard party.
“I can’t believe my Baby is 4 today!!!” Brittany captioned a series of throwback photos of her and Jax’s only child.

The Valley mom shared all the incredible details of Cruz’s party, which was planned by Los Angeles event organizer Picnic + Petal. The shindig included a massive Alpha-Lit marquee that read, “Reach for the Stars”; a craft station by Kids Creation Labs; a bounce house; Lovestruck Blooms floral arrangements; and a full bar, aka the “fueling station,” for adults.
But it wouldn’t be a birthday party without food and sweet treats. As seen on Brittany and Jax’s Instagram, guests were treated to pizza, custom cookies by Wish Upon a Cookie, and a huge charcuterie board with cold cuts, fruits, vegetables, and cheeses.
“Happy 4th Birthday to my little guy…” Jax captioned a video showing off all the food and decor.
The Vanderpump Rules alum also reshared a picture of him and Brittany standing together while their son blew out his birthday candles. The family photo provided a closer look at Cruz’s next-level birthday cake by Sprinkle Me Cakes and Treats. The two-tier design was covered in black frosting and cute outer space details, like astronaut figurines, yellow stars, mini planets, and a shimmery numeral 4 topper.
Attendees included Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ daughter, Summer Moon Honey Davies; Michelle Saniei; and Janet Caperna.
Brittany reflects on her son Cruz’s elaborate birthday parties
Brittany spoke about Cruz’s birthday celebrations in Season 1, Episode 5 of Bravo Bravo F’ing Bravo with Kate Chastain. The Kentucky native said she threw Cruz a birthday party every year and always made an effort to go all out. Cruz’s first birthday was baseball-themed, his second had a Toy Story theme, and his third was dinosaur-themed.
“I have a bar every year at my son’s birthday parties for the parents,” the former SURver said. “You have to incorporate everything, you know? The theme, the bar, outfits, the everything.”
Brittany opens up about Cruz’s autisim diagnosis
Cruz rang in his 4th birthday just days after Brittany revealed he was diagnosed with autism. The mother shared the news in an interview with People magazine, saying her son’s condition meant their lives were “going to look a little bit different.”
“It can be sad at times because you want them to live life to the fullest, and he does, he just does it in a different way,” she told the outlet. “What I really want people to understand about autism is he sees the world so much more vibrant and amazing than any of us ever will. It doesn’t mean that he’s not going to be the smartest in his class. It doesn’t mean he is not going to work for NASA one day. There aren’t any limitations to what he can do.”
