Tom Sandoval Praised For His Wedding Singer Services

Tom Sandoval received a positive review for his services as a wedding singer. The “Vanderpump Rules” star’s past gig resurfaced after a viral TikTok showed him performing with his cover band at a May 2023 wedding in California, according to People magazine.

In a February 2025 interview with People, Jenn Wright, a bride who hired Sandoval and his band The Most Extras two months after his infamous “Scandoval” cheating scandal, described him as a “super fun” performer. “It was honestly so much fun and I don’t think anybody left the dance floor,” Wright told the outlet. “He was just super fun and got everyone pumped up. .. I think the whole band had a blast. Everyone was really into it.”

Wright also noted that she was able to book Sandoval’s band for the bargain price of $16,000.

Sandoval’s wedding singing past can be seen in a clip posted to TikTok by a guest at Wright’s wedding. The Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras singer was dressed in formal wedding attire as he raised his arms and belted out the 1988 Proclaimers hit, “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).”

As of this writing, the clip has received over 930,000 views on TikTok.

Sandoval previously said his band’s feel-good vibe comes from the fact that he performs covers of well-known songs. In 2021, he told Page Six, “Everybody benefits from a band like ours. People are going to come, they’re going to be able to jam out and they know the words to these songs. They’ve been listening to them for years and years. It’s fun in that way. People don’t have to get to know your music, which takes off a bit of the pressure I’ve felt in my other bands.”

Sandoval Crashed the Wedding Singer’s Stage at Tom Schwartz & Katie Maloney’s Reception

Sandoval has logged other gigs as a wedding singer. In September 2024, Distractify posted a clip of the bar star singing the Kings of Leon song “Sex on Fire” at another couple’s nuptials.

But Sandoval’s most famous wedding gig was one he was not hired for. In 2016, he crashed the stage during his pal Tom Schwartz’s wedding to Katie Maloney. Sandoval didn’t sing, but instead brought his trusty trumpet to the reception held in Northern California. The moment was caught on the season 5 finale of “Vanderpump Rules.”

In a scene from the episode, Sandoval noted that he had “another surprise” for the newlywed couple. “I brought my trumpet!” he announced.

He was then seen crashing the stage where the wedding band was playing the Wang Chung song “Dance Hall Days.” Sandoval began to blow his trumpet during the performance. At one point, the saxophone player asked him to stop blasting the trumpet in his ear.
