Are Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor Selling Their House? She Says…

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are adjusting to their new home lives amid their ongoing divorce.

During the February 7 episode of When Reality Hits With Jax & Brittany, Brittany shared what life has been like since Jax moved out of their home in the Valley, and if they’re planning to sell it.

“I am happy to say that I own my house. This is my home. Me and [my son] Cruz are back here living here […] this is where he was raised,” The Valley cast member began during the episode while responding to fan questions.

She later added, “I really feel like I made this house a home and I never dreamed I would have a house like this. So I just feel so lucky and I really [don’t] want to sell it. So it is not going for sale anytime soon. This is another reason why I’m hustling, because I’m going to take care of my household and I’m going to take care of my son and I’m just very proud that I have been able to do all of this by myself. But yeah, this is my house. I’ve completely taken over everything and definitely not going to sell this baby anytime soon. I love her.”

When did Jax Taylor move out of his and Brittany Carwright’s home?

Following the news of their separation, Jax revealed in September 2024 that he officially moved into a townhouse via Instagram.

In two solo snapshots of himself, Jax shared the details of his new living arrangement as he soaked up the sun on the townhouse’s outdoor deck. “It will take some time for my new place to feel like a home but it will get there,” he captioned the post. “One hour at a time, one day at a time.”

Brittany noted on the podcast that she and Jax have been working on co-parenting Cruz between their two residences and “handling it the best that we can.”

She continued: “When we’re getting along, he’ll come over and try to help out with things here and there. It’s a very up-and-down rocky situation with us, but we’re working on it.”

Though aspects of their separation have been tough, Brittany is enjoying a few things about being single in her L.A. abode.

“My favorite thing about being single would be like not having to clean up after somebody else,” she revealed. “I have my house back finally, and it’s just like, OK, I’m not having to shut all the cabinet doors or close the Silverware drawer back…little stuff like that, [like] clean[ing] up the shaving hairs that are all around the sink, less laundry, you know. It’s nice not to have to clean up 24-7 after somebody else. So I’m trying to get used to it all.”

Even with those freedoms, singledom still comes with its challenges.

“Being single, I can get lonely sometimes […]and that’s happened to me often,” she added. “That’s why I love being with my son. I love being around my friends. It pulls you out of that funk whenever you get into it every now and then. And I think that’s completely normal when you’re going through a separation and a divorce like I am.”
