The Valley Season 2: Where We Last Left Off With the Stars of The VPR Spinoff
Bravo’s “The Valley” was a surprise hit when it debuted in March 2024 as a spinoff of “Vanderpump Rules.” The show brought back VPR alums Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute, alongside a fresh cast navigating parenthood, crumbling marriages, and plenty of chaos.
When season 1 wrapped, viewers were left with fractured relationships, new ventures, and unresolved tensions, which set the stage for a highly anticipated season 2. Here’s where the stars of “The Valley” stand as we await their return.
More Marital Drama Is Coming on “The Valley” Season 2
Season 1 of “The Valley” didn’t shy away from the unraveling of two central couples. Taylor and Cartwright’s marriage hit a breaking point, with Cartwright announcing their separation in February 2024, just weeks before the series premiere.
She moved out of their shared home with their son Cruz, bouncing between rentals, while he muddied the waters with conflicting statements to the press. On Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, Cartwright filed for divorce, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. In the documents, she requested legal and physical custody of Cruz and visitation rights for Taylor.
Meanwhile, Michelle Lally ended things with Jesse Lally just three days after filming for the first season wrapped, moving two blocks away into a rental near Chateau Marmont. The announcement for season 2 reveals that Jesse is trying to keep things amicable while they co-parent their daughter, Isabella. Michelle has moved on with Aaron Nosler.
According to Bravo, Michelle “has moved past her marriage to Jesse, but the tumultuous divorce proceedings might get the better of her.”
Cast Dynamics and Unanswered Questions We Need Answered in Season 2 of “The Valley”
The finale left plenty of threads dangling. Nia Booko grappled with postpartum depression while clashing with husband Danny over a potential move to Santa Clarita. As far as we know, that conflict is still up in the air.
In the meantime, Danny has picked up voice acting gigs, including work on Kevin Costner’s “Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1” and “Transformers One.”
Doute faced pushback from Janet Caperna and Michelle, who tried to freeze her out of the group. However, Caperna has hinted at a possible reconciliation. She told the Daily Dish, “I don’t think, you know, this is the end of our friendship.”
The charming Jasmine Goode remained on the sidelines in season 1, playing confidant without a meaty storyline. But with her girlfriend, Melissa Marie, joining the show for season 2, we are sure to see more of her story.
Then there’s the mystery of Michelle’s rumored fling with a bleeped-out A-list director. This juicy tidbit is still fueling online speculation, mainly concerning Quentin Tarantino.
What About Jax Taylor’s Bar and Mamaw’s Beer Cheese?
Taylor’s pet project, Jax’s Studio City, took center stage in “The Valley’s” first season as he juggled its launch with personal turmoil. The sports bar is reportedly thriving, but he claims no financial stake.
Still, Taylor bragged to “The Daily Dish” about plans for two more restaurants. But his track record as an unreliable narrator leaves plenty of room for doubt.
Tied to the bar’s success is Mamaw’s beer cheese, a Kentucky-inspired dish rooted in Taylor and Cartwright’s history from their “Vanderpump Rules” days. With their separation, its fate on the menu is unclear. Will Cartwright claim it in a future split, or will Taylor cling to it? The custody battle over this quirky legacy could spice up season 2.
“The Valley” season 2 premieres Tuesday, April 15th at 9/8c on Bravo.
While fans are waiting for new episodes, they can catch up with season 1 on Peacock.
