Ally Lewber Details What She’s Looking For In a Man After James Kennedy Split

Ally Lewber is “excited” about getting back out there after her split from “Vanderpump Rules” alum James Kennedy. And in an interview with PEOPLE, she revealed exactly what she’s looking for in a man.

“For me, taking things slow and just finding someone that I don’t have to fix, someone who already is whole and complete,” Lewber explained. “Not that James wasn’t, but you know, just having someone who — I don’t know — finding someone that checks my boxes but is also like, ‘We can take things slow.’”

She also took a moment to reflect on her past relationship with Kennedy and what she learned from it.

“When I met James, you want to believe the person that you’re meeting and that you’re seeing in front of you is who they really are,” Lewber said. “You don’t want to judge them from what you’ve seen on TV or from what you’ve heard. I feel like as humans, we’re all like that. We give people the benefit of the doubt. But he’s charming and he’s great, and 90% of the time he’s awesome. It’s those 10% wounds that aren’t fun that come out.”

Ally Lewber Thanked Fans For Their Support After Breakup

On the teaser for Lewber’s new podcast, StarStruck, she spoke about her “toxic relationship,” and took a moment to thank everyone who has reached out and been there for her following the breakup.

“I’m grateful for being on the other side of it. I’m grateful for all of your comments and DMs and all of the support that you guys have shown me,” Lewber said. “It’s actually been so encouraging and helpful, truly. I have a great support system here in LA. I’m grateful for my friends, my mom.”

She also gave an update as to how she’s doing.

“I just want you guys to know that I’m good — I’m great,” she added. “I have a new place and I’ve been enjoying decorating it. I’m really looking forward to this new era where I can focus on astrology and my passion.

And with that, she made a simple promise: “No more DJs or reality TV.”
