Buckingham Palace Has Finally Confirmed King Health Fears That Reduced William To Tears

King Charles and Prince William’s Changing Roles Amid Royal Transitions

In recent years, both King Charles and Prince William have experienced significant upheaval within the Royal Family, particularly after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Their roles have changed dramatically, with Charles ascending to the throne and William becoming the Prince of Wales. With this new title, William also inherited the responsibility of overseeing the vast Duchy of Cornwall estate, a role once held by Charles for more than 50 years when he was Prince of Wales. Charles took great pride in the success of the estate during his tenure.

Recently, King Charles privately reached out to Pope Francis after the pontiff fell ill in February. The Pope has spent the last month in the hospital recovering from pneumonia. Despite his condition, a palace source confirmed that King Charles and Queen Camilla’s state visits to the Holy See and Italy are set to proceed as planned, pending Pope Francis’s health. The royal couple, who will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary in Italy on April 9, will visit the Vatican, Rome, and Siena during their four-day trip from April 7 to 10.

As Charles battles cancer, he is reportedly exploring alternative treatments, including medical cannabis, to help relieve pain and possibly combat cancer cells. Despite the severity of his condition, a source revealed that Charles is optimistic and determined to make it to his 77th birthday, though he acknowledges the challenges he faces. The King is known to support homeopathic medicine, and as such, sees no harm in trying unconventional treatments. Sources noted that Charles has read studies about cannabis’s potential benefits and is giving it a chance.

Royal author Tom Quinn also shed light on Prince William’s character, revealing that both he and King Charles share a tendency for tantrums. Quinn writes that it’s often up to William’s wife, Catherine, to calm him when he gets upset. A former palace employee added that Catherine plays a crucial role in keeping William grounded, sometimes even treating him like one of her children. This temperament appears to be hereditary, as palace staffers have noted that both Charles and William can be quick to anger when things don’t go their way.

A notable example of this was when King Charles threw a tantrum shortly after becoming King in September 2022. During a visit to Hillsborough Castle in Belfast, cameras captured him angrily reacting to a pen that leaked ink. “Oh God, I hate this! I can’t bear this bloody thing,” Charles exclaimed as he walked away. It seems this type of reaction comes naturally to both men.

After King Charles’s coronation in May 2023, Camilla’s title officially changed to Queen. Meanwhile, royal protocol dictates meticulous preparation for the royal couple’s daily routines, including the pressing of suits, polishing of shoes, and even running baths at the exact same time each day, just minutes apart.

In the midst of these changes, Buckingham Palace has reportedly arranged a crucial meeting between King Charles III and Canada’s newly elected prime minister, Mark Carney. The meeting, set to take place during Carney’s visit to the UK, comes amid ongoing tensions between Canada and the United States. Despite both leaders’ busy schedules, royal insiders confirmed that King Charles is eager to meet with Carney, with discussions already underway to facilitate the meeting. The King has also privately written to Carney to congratulate him on his new role.

As for Queen Camilla, she has reportedly adopted a firm stance of silence regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. According to a palace source, Camilla has chosen not to engage in discussions about the couple, especially amid the media frenzy surrounding their activities. The Duke of Sussex’s memoir, Spare, stirred up additional controversy, with Harry making bold claims against Camilla, labeling her as “dangerous.” Despite the tension, the topic is rarely discussed at the palace, with royal insiders noting that Camilla prefers to remain neutral and keep personal matters to herself.
